About

Reporting to the Operation Manager, the Superintendent will mainly be responsible for planning, organizing, supervising and coordinating work performed on construction sites and fields, including:

  • Manage field crews and coordinate work force.
  • Review and ensure project labor requirements are met.
  • Plan and oversee field operational activities.
  • Create project schedules and manage field resources.
  • Complete site inspections and monitor progress.
  • Supervise operations, ensure targets and quality protocols are achieved.
  • Complete reports and required documents.
  • Hold and attend meetings, both project specific and general.
  • Promote safety and ensure program compliance.
  • Coordinate project materials and tool/equipment management.
  • Set team goals and promote operational success.
  • Coordinate service calls and adapt to changes.
  • Lead by example and foster company culture.
  • Provide effective communication, both internal and external.
Qualifications
  • Experience with service, installation and testing of all water-based suppression systems, foam systems, special hazard systems and fire pumps.
  • Sprinkler Fitters’ Journeypersons certificate with Red Seal (an asset).
  • Knowledge of required codes and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret project drawings.
  • Proficient level of computer literacy.
  • Team first mentality.
  • High level of communication is required.
  • Safety first attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
