About the opportunity

As a Product Manager for the Platform Core Services team, your objective is to bring the next generation of platform capabilities to life.

You will be a key member on the Platform Core Services product team, whose mission is to empower application teams to efficiently deliver high quality, lovable, products through modern platform technology and infrastructure. You’ll get to collaborate on building the foundations of the Dayforce platform, features that boost our developers and provide reliable and consistent experiences for customers.

In this role, you’ll translate complex, highly technical concepts into clear, actionable content—developer documentation, update decks, and internal enablement materials that make Dayforce internal tools easy to understand, adopt, and love. You’ll help coordinate internal and external communications for launches, gather feedback from customers and Dayforce developers, and track adoption signals to inform future improvements. Along the way, you’ll build hands‑on product skills in discovery, prioritization, and execution to build internal tooling and infrastructure that boosts Dayforce developer productivity and happiness, while providing stability and performance to Dayforce customers.

What you'll get to do
  • Work closely with members of the Product Management and Development teams to translate requirements into solutions and system designs that align with product development strategy
  • Drive forward Platform Core Services initiatives with a passion and enthusiasm
  • Serve as the voice of the user in conversations with design and development
  • Partner with the cybersecurity and privacy teams as well as with customers and other product development teams to understand their needs and use that input to help shape the product
  • Identify, prioritize and execute against both the backlog and roadmap using a data driven approach
  • Manage the risk of poorly developed software by ensuring the team is focused on building the right product for the right user at the right time
  • Perform ongoing backlog grooming, including maintaining and prioritizing backlog items in conjunction with team members
  • Coordinate activities across development teams, identifying, documenting and driving cross‑team dependencies
  • Define acceptance criteria and technical requirements, including data requirements, data flow and usage, and for features
  • Create and maintain technical and end user documentation Review product release notes and ensure the accuracy of any technical details
  • Work with product operations to plan charters and launches to get our products out to customers
Skills and experience we value
  • Highly organized, disciplined self‑starter, capable of working independently or in close collaboration within an agile development team
  • Excellent consulting, collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with external customers and partners to gather requirements
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience writing user stories, doing user research, breaking down technical features
  • Experience building developer tools or internal tools for large platforms.
  • Demonstrable understanding of technical concepts like Microsoft Azure, Kafka, and microservices. Familiarity with architectural frameworks is preferred.
  • Skilled in data analysis, user interviews, documentation, and cross‑time zone collaboration
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration / Computer Information Systems or equivalent degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Product Manager working directly with agile development teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent multitasking and problem‑solving abilities
  • Exceptional self‑awareness and time management skills
