Responsibilities
  • Manage, mentor and develop a high‑performing, geo‑distributed team of data engineers while fostering an inclusive, growth‑oriented culture.
  • Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of scalable, low‑latency data pipelines that process billions of daily events.
  • Manage data platforms including data lakes (S3), warehouses (Snowflake) and real‑time analytics tools to meet business needs.
  • Set the technical direction, enforce best practices and prioritize engineering projects in partnership with Product Management and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Drive agile project management practices, ensuring timely delivery and clear communication of project status, risks and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize costs, monitor data quality and implement security and compliance standards, collaborating with architects and engineers to enhance system performance, reliability and scalability.
  • Contribute to the development of data infrastructure, including data collection, storage and retrieval systems.
  • Stay current on emerging trends, tools and technologies and promote a culture of quality, innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role and a proven track record of growing and scaling teams effectively.
  • Deep expertise in building and managing data engineering platforms for large‑scale, high‑throughput applications.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and related services for data processing (Spark/Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, Druid).
  • Hands‑on experience with modern data engineering tools and frameworks (data pipelines, orchestration engines, distributed storage systems).
  • Excellent project management skills and proficiency with tools like JIRA and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of translating business requirements into technical solutions and working effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of AdTech or real‑time event streaming systems is a plus.
Benefits
  • Medical, Dental & Vision Plans
  • Flexible PTO
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Open Paid Time Off policy and competitive bonuses
  • Opportunity to work on cutting‑edge technology in a high‑growth environment
