About

As an Engineer, your main responsibility will be to carry out various automation projects for our clients. More specifically, you will be required to:
 
  • Collect the input data necessary to carry out assignments;
  • Supervise and approve the design of electrical drawings for industrial control panels;
  • Analyze the technical specifications of various components or equipment;
  • Provide technical expertise during the execution of assignments;
  • Program all types of programmable logic controllers, operator interfaces, components, and variable speed drives;
  • Participate, as needed, in pre-operational checks and commissioning (FAT and SAT) at customer sites;
  • Establish diagnostics to improve systems or resolve issues;
  • Write functional descriptions, test reports, user manuals, deficiency lists, or other documents;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and procedures;
  • Participate in meetings with customers for project follow-ups;
  • Perform factory surveys;
  • Provide training to client employees;
  • Ensure compliance with deadlines and quality standards;
  • Comply with occupational health and safety guidelines;
  • Perform all other related tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Hold a university degree in electrical engineering, automated production, or any other relevant field;
  • 3 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Programming of PLCs and operator interfaces;
  • Industrial networking;
  • Be a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec as an engineer;
  • Be a member of the Ontario Professional Engineers as an engineer (an asset);
  • Knowledge of Rockwell, Siemens, and other PLC programming;
  • Knowledge of Rockwell, Siemens, Ignition, or other HMI programming (an asset);
  • Knowledge of machine safety (an asset);
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, the Quebec Construction Code - Chapter V - Electricity, and CSA and UL standards applicable to industrial control panels (an asset);
  • Be fluent in French and English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with our partners outside of Quebec;
  • Hold a valid driver's license;
  • Willingness to travel to our customers' sites;
  • Display excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication capabilities;
  • Ability to work in a team;
