Position Summary:
This position is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday. Occasional overtime may be required as needed during peak season. This position is responsible for packing tea, picking and shipping orders, and other responsibilities as needed. Employees are required to comply with all GMP and Safety Policies including filling out appropriate paperwork. Must have a strong work ethic and attention to detail and be able to work as a TEAm member.
Essential Functions:
- Use scales or weigh fill machines to correctly weigh tea into bags or tins. Apply labels to bags/tins either by hand or machine placing them straight and neat. Seal bags using tabletop heat sealer or continuous band sealer. Attention to detail is a must.
- Move products and record inventory location confirming bin tags are accurate.
- Quality ownership of products being produced.
- Fill out appropriate paperwork, forms as required for GMP.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all GMP and Safety policies.
- Accurately pick products from inventory based on order specifications on batch sheets.
- Scan items and pack contents securely into shipping box to ensure breakables are protected with packing material. Seal and label boxes for efficient shipping.
- Cross train in other areas as needed.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High School/GED Education
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Two years of related experience.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Attention to detail.
- Good attendance
- Basic reading and math skills
- Follow all GMP and Safety policies. Able to fill out required forms and answer any questions during audit regarding job specifications.
- Standing/walking for full shift
- General housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Manual dexterity to pick and pack single items and case lots;
- Able to push product cart containing up to 100 lbs.
- Able to lift 50lbs. on own up to 4 or 5 times daily;
- Able to push 50 lbs. from pack station to shipping conveyor up to 20 times daily;
- Able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Able to climb stairs on occasion.
COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to work as a team member as well as independently.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.

- Able to answer questions during audit regarding job specifications.
- Ability to gain a general knowledge of computers, scanners and internal systems.
