Job Description**
Reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Provide technical leadership and oversight of all electrical design deliverables for EPC projects. Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other applicable standards, maintaining design integrity, safety, and regulatory adherence. Mentor electrical designers and drafters to deliver consistent, high-quality outputs that integrate seamlessly with EPC workflows.

Core Responsibilities

  • Technical Design Leadership – Provide overall direction for electrical design, ensuring adherence to NEC, safety codes, and client specifications.
  • Drawing & Deliverable Oversight – Review and approve one-lines, wiring diagrams, panel schedules, equipment layouts, conduit/cable schedules, and load lists.
  • Mentorship & Development – Guide electrical designers and drafters; provide training on NEC compliance and design best practices.
  • Constructability & Field Interface – Collaborate with the Director of Construction to ensure designs are constructible, code-compliant, and cost-effective.
  • Review Gate Support – Lead the electrical portion of 30/60/90% reviews and participate in internal/external design reviews.
  • Standardization – Develop and maintain reusable design templates, calculations, and checklists to ensure scalability and consistency across EPC projects.
  • Quality & Compliance – Enforce rigorous QA/QC on electrical deliverables, ensuring compliance with NEC and regulatory standards.

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
  • 10+ years of electrical design experience in oil & gas, midstream, or industrial infrastructure.
  • Must know the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other applicable codes (NFPA 70, IEEE standards beneficial).
  • Experience supporting EPC projects from FEED through IFC.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
