MANAGEMENT DUTIES – has direct reports:

Primary Objectives
· Provide oversight and direction to the employees under your supervision in the operating unit in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
· Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
· Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organizations and that emphasizes the identified mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of the organization.
· Lead employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.
· Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and goal accomplishment.
· Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, IM (Instant Messaging), and regular interpersonal communication.
Perform Department Improvement
· Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.
· Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor the operation of the department.
· Review performance data that includes financial, sales, and activity reports and spreadsheets, to monitor and measure departmental productivity, goal achievement, QMS KPI's and overall effectiveness.
· Communicate regularly with other managers, the director, vice president, president, and other designated contacts within the organization.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain ISO 9001/AS-9100 Quality Management System
- Interface with Management team to support growth and success.
- Manage quality team and training
- Manage quality schedule
- Track, monitor and report company KPI's and quality metrics related to the companies processes and performance.
- Review and provide feedback and/or approval of Falcon internally created models and 2D drawings.
- Create CAD models for production
- Inspect FAT, PLT's, TMTS, and products
- Responsible for maintaining training records, with help from HR and Management team
- Maintain calibration system for inspection equipment and measuring items.
- Suggest and implement ideas to improve procedures and efficiency.
- Oversee new vendor onboarding and vendor rating system.
- Capable of Inspecting product (Visually, Mechanically and Electrically) and review documentation at applicable surveillance process steps (In-Process or Final) per print specifications, work orders, sales orders purchase order, and documented procedures.
- Work with manufacturing to resolve quality issues
- Be able Conduct First Article Inspections if needed
- Be able to assist with Customer In-Process Source Inspections if needed
- Review and approve redlines to documentation and update QMS related procedures/work instructions.
· Consistent 40-hour work week while production is active on site.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Manager in a n aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Excellent computer skills, good with documentation, organized and efficient.
- Experience with geometric dimensioning & tolerancing
- Dependable, flexible, excellent communication – verbal and written.
- Experience with MRP/ERP and Manufacturing Quality Control.
- Be experienced in reading blue prints, defining measurement techniques, performing inspections and documenting data.
- Experience using magnifying devices, test equipment, and precision measuring instruments (micrometers, indicators, calipers and comparators) is highly desired.
- Must be familiar with AIS9100 or similar Quality System. Military/Aerospace regulations familiarity is highly desired.
- Read blueprints and specifications: 4 years Required
- Ability to understand aerospace specifications and the flow-down of information
- Ability to assist product and support employees with quality issues when necessary
- Ability to perform First Articles, First Piece, Floor, Receiving, Final and Outside Process Inspection
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent - Must have demonstrated computer literacy.
- Must be a U.S. person in order to comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
(*) The work environment for this job is in an office and can require you to go into the manufacturing shop floor, which is heated and air-conditioned. The noise level is usually high due to industrial machines. This position requires frequent walking, frequent standing, frequent lifting, frequent typing, frequent use of a computer screen, as well as sitting at a desk.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
(*) The position requires that the employee be regularly required to stand, move, talk, see, and hear. The employee is regularly required to life, stand; walk; reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision. Specific physical abilities include abilities to move items in all directions with body, hands, and fingers.
(*) Note: Both the Physical Demand and Work Environment sections are required by the Americans with Disability Act (ADA).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability of hearing, sight, smell and touch, coupled with eye/hand coordination.
- Extensive use of arms, hands, and fingers in the manipulation of tools, objects and controls is necessary
- Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Walk, stand, and/or sit for an entire shift.
- Work in repetitive environment to include one or more of the following for an entire shift: Grasp Grip, Reach, Pull, Push, Bend, Squat, Kneel or Balance.
- Work in different climates, such as heat or cold, for an entire shift.
