Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Carpenter / Supervisor to oversee construction projects and manage on-site operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hands-on experience in various construction trades, and the ability to coordinate teams effectively. This role involves supervising daily activities, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality craftsmanship across diverse projects including restoration, remodeling, and new construction. The Lead Carpenter / Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining project timelines, managing resources, and upholding company standards on all job sites.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate construction crews to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution.
- Oversee the installation of fixtures, siding, drywall, flooring, tile, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other structural components.
- Perform or assist with framing, trim carpentry, concrete forming, rebar installation, roofing, metal stud framing, and other specialized tasks as needed.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes; enforce safety protocols among team members.
- Manage material ordering and inventory to ensure timely availability of supplies.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the project lifecycle to maintain high standards of craftsmanship.
- Train and mentor junior team members; promote a collaborative team environment.
- Document project progress and communicate updates to management regularly.
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and project planning.
- Proficiency in various carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, framing, cabinetry installation, door hanging, drywall finishing, flooring installation, tile laying, stucco application, siding installation, metal stud framing, and plastering.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools (including CNC machinery), fabrication equipment, and heavy machinery for concrete forming or rebar installation.
- Strong knowledge of restoration industry practices such as water damage remediation and mold remediation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; experience with roofing systems and water damage restoration is a plus.
- Familiarity with electrical work (electrical experience), plumbing systems (plumbing), masonry techniques (masonry), remodeling processes (remodeling), fixture installation (fixture installation), caulking (caulking), water damage restoration (restoration industry experience), and remodeling projects.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $ $30.73 per hour
