We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced casual dining environment. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees to ensure seamless service and exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, including supervising kitchen staff, and cashiers.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to increase sales, improve customer satisfaction, and manage labor costs.
- Train and mentor employees to improve their performance and overall job satisfaction.
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and implementing efficient scheduling practices.
- Conduct interviews to select new employees and promote from within the team.
- Foster a positive work environment, recognizing and rewarding employees for their hard work and dedication.
- Collaborate with the management team to set goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Shift Manager or in a similar role within the food service industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation, as well as food safety regulations.
- Proven experience in hospitality management, with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities at once.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality, business, or a related field is an asset.
