About

Summary:

Responsible for the development, optimization, training, documentation and maintenance of all blow molding processes to achieve maximum operating efficiency levels. This role performs preventative and corrective maintenance.

Maintenance Technician duties and responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Process, troubleshoot and basic repair of all Blow Molding machines and supporting equipment, including robotics.
  • Set up all equipment – tooling, conveying system, presses, etc.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment in a timely manner. Use precision measuring instruments such as scale, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Direct employees in safety, quality, proper procedures and ongoing training to reduce scrap/defects.
  • Optimize equipment to meet or exceed target KPIs.
  • Cost reduction of current manufacturing processes while maintaining quality standards.
  • Organize and participate in continuous improvement projects targeting safety, quality, delivery or cost metrics.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in education opportunities
  • Work schedule may vary as necessary in order to meet goals including being on call.
  • Understand and know how to operate within the code of the controller on all equipment.
  • Document and improve process control.

Maintenance Technician Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

· High School diploma or equivalent required

· 3 years minimum operation and adjustment experience with blow molding machines

Other skills and abilities:

· Proven ability to manage processes, analyze information and meet deadlines

· Ability to enter and retrieve data from the ERP system

· Hydraulics, mechanical, electric, and pneumatic experience

· Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements:

Requirements include, but are not limited to:

· The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

· Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time

· Must be able to push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl

· Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping

· Work environment is in a warehouse and temperatures inside vary between hot or cold based on the outside conditions

· Work is fast paced

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
