Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, blueprint reading, and the ability to work with various machining tools and equipment. The CNC Operator will ensure that products meet quality standards while maintaining safety and efficiency in a fast-paced factory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment such as press brake machines and stamping presses.
  • Program CNC equipment using CAM programming and CAD software, ensuring accurate tool paths and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to produce precise components.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery and troubleshoot issues related to Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers, or mechanical components.
  • Handle materials safely using forklifts or other materials handling equipment when necessary.
  • Assist with fabrication, assembly line tasks, tooling setup, and materials handling as required.
  • Follow safety protocols including proper use of hand tools, factory safety procedures, and PPE requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Support quality control processes by inspecting finished parts for defects or deviations from specifications.

Experience

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment in a manufacturing facility.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls, CAM programming, SolidWorks, CAD software, and CNC programming techniques.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, mechanical knowledge, and machining principles.
  • Experience with fabrication processes including welding, tooling setup, stamping presses, and fabricating parts using hand tools.
  • Prior warehouse experience or materials handling skills are advantageous.
  • Ability to work with precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers for quality assurance.
  • Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions and tolerances in manufacturing tasks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where technical skills are valued and developed further through hands-on experience with advanced machining technology.
