About

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plant Controller to oversee financial operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and financial management systems. Reporting to the VP/General Manager, the Plant Controller is a self-starter and will be a member of the plant leadership team with responsibility for managing and leading all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions while driving informed financial decision making throughout the organization that supports planning and future growth.

Duties

  • Preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly plant financial reports;
  • Coordinate budget preparation and monitor budget variances;
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the general ledger to ensure timely and complete financial reporting is delivered.
  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable and keeping the outstanding balance at a minimum, resolving invoice disputes and ensuring customer accounts are paid in a timely fashion.
  • Responsible for Accounts Payable and keeping the outstanding balance at the maximum manageable level to conserve cash while ensuring good supplier relationships and no interruptions in production.
  • Ensuring all accounts are reconciled on a timely basis, inventory is counted and valued properly, and all reserves and accruals are accurate and timely.
  • Responsibility for the cost accounting system including accurate development of work center costs, accurate and timely standard costs.
  • Liaise with auditors for the annual audit;
  • Liaise with VP Finance & CFO and other Plant Controllers;
  • Assist Plant management in the preparation of quotes and ensure they have accurate cost data to quote with;
  • Provide financial analysis and support in the evaluation of capital purchases.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Fifth year college or university program certificate; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Highly developed communication skills (written and oral)
  • Advanced PC Literacy (spreadsheet and database software such as Excel, Access)
  • Dynamic thinker with advanced financial skills to develop and maintain best of class financial system and processes.
  • Exposure to ERP systems.
  • Ability to lead continuous improvements

Pay: $92, $111,500.28 per year
