Job Overview

Sun Country Pediatrics is expanding We're seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our team. Our Spring Hill office currently includes one physician and five nurse practitioners.

In this position, the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will deliver both primary and acute care to children from infancy through young adulthood. Working closely with our Medical Director, PNPs are key members of our healthcare team and provide the highest quality care for young patients.

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) Responsibilities & Duties

· Perform comprehensive physical exams and assess developmental stages

· Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions

· Refer patients to specialists when dealing with more complex chronic issues

· Educating parents about vaccinations and preventive healthcare practices

· Offering families guidance on health, wellness, and disease prevention

· Ordering necessary diagnostic tests

· Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies for pediatric patients

· Track and adjust patient care plans as needed to support ongoing progress

· Document visits in the EMR

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) Qualifications & Skills

· Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a focus on pediatrics

· Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by an accredited body

· At least 1-3 years of experience in pediatric healthcare settings

· Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

· Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems

· Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license

· Graduate of an accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program

· Board-certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP)

· Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills

· Highly organized with good time management skills

· Dedicated to ongoing education and professional development

Pay: $90, $100,000.00 per year
