Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Project Engineer to join our team in Oregon. As a Field Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting project execution, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency on-site. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including earthwork and utilities, franchise coordination & installation, tank construction, concrete and paving construction while collaborating with a skilled team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure timely completion within budget.
- Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Conduct quality control inspections and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, and submittals.
- Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead CESCL
- Conduct CESCL inspection as required
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and maintain project progress.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
- Support cost estimating, material procurement, and change order management.
- Provide technical support and problem-solving for field operations.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in construction or engineering, preferably in field operations.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., HCSS Heavy Bid and Heavy Job, Trimble, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites across Oregon.
- Pass a pre-employment UA
