Job Summary:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a critical leadership role, supporting the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day business operations, ensuring operational excellence, team development, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. The AGM collaborates closely with department heads to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and implement strategic initiatives to support company growth. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of event rental operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management:
  • Oversee daily business operations, ensuring all departments function efficiently.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to improve productivity.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies for operational improvement.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, sales, logistics, and customer service teams to optimize workflow.
  • Financial and Budgetary Management:
  • Assist in budget planning and financial forecasting.
  • Track revenue, expenses, and profit margins to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure financial goals align with company objectives.
  • Staff Leadership and Development:
  • Assist in hiring, training, and performance management of department managers and staff.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote team collaboration.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to align teams with company goals.
  • Support conflict resolution and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Customer Experience & Relationship Management:
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns and service-related issues.
  • Event Logistics & Execution:
  • Oversee event planning, equipment availability, and execution.
  • Ensure seamless event setup and breakdown, collaborating with operations teams.
  • Monitor event logistics and address challenges proactively.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Implement and monitor safety protocols for warehouse and event teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably in event rentals, logistics, or hospitality.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems, financial reporting, and process optimization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and event days.
