Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is seeking a proactive Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations and lead a team of warehouse associates. This position is critical to ensuring the efficiency, safety, and productivity of our entire warehouse and logistics network. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for managing staff, optimizing workflow, maintaining inventory accuracy, and enforcing all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will play a key role in training and developing team members, fostering a positive work environment, and implementing best practices in warehouse management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, strong problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. This role involves significant responsibility, including the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, managing space utilization, and ensuring the timely fulfillment of orders. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities and staff.
- Ensure efficient workflow for inbound and outbound logistics.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
- Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy and management.
- Enforce all safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Monitor and manage operational costs.
- Implement and improve warehouse processes and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and promote a safety-first culture.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory control.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Commitment to safety, including knowledge of PPE and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) when necessary.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
