About
Our busy distribution center in Denver, Colorado is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for accurately documenting and processing incoming shipments, ensuring all goods are accounted for and inspected for damage. This role is crucial to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and the efficiency of our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify packing slips against received goods, noting any discrepancies or damages.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Inspect goods for damage and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Organize and stage incoming inventory for put-away.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Lift and move packages of various sizes and weights, often requiring significant physical exertion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role is a plus.
- Familiarity with WMS or inventory software is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in basic math and computer skills.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Commitment to a safe working environment and adherence to all safety protocols.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles is an advantage.
