About
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the movement of materials throughout our warehouse, ensuring that inventory is organized and readily accessible for production and distribution. Your contribution to our logistics chain is significant, and a focus on Safety and efficiency is key. This position involves operating various types of material handling equipment and performing physical tasks related to inventory management. Appropriate PPE must be worn at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other designated equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Organize and stack materials in designated storage areas, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counting.
- Receive incoming materials and verify against shipping documents.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging and labeling.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, free from obstructions and hazards.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow all Safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks, including Lifting and manual handling of goods.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required. Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is essential. Must be able to perform significant Lifting and other physical tasks. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. A strong commitment to Safety and experience with PPE are mandatory. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Good communication and teamwork skills. Must be able to read and interpret shipping and receiving documents. This role requires consistent adherence to safety regulations.
