We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Orlando, Florida. The Order Picker is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment within our fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that our clients receive the correct items in a timely manner. Your primary duties will involve navigating the warehouse using RF scanners, locating specific products based on order tickets, and carefully packing items to prevent damage during transit. Adherence to safety protocols is paramount, and you will be expected to consistently wear appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves using an RF scanner and order pick list.
- Verify product information against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely and safely for shipment, utilizing appropriate packing materials.
- Stage completed orders in designated shipping areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles and pick paths are clear.
- Perform regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper Lifting techniques.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and shipping goals.
- Participate in ongoing training to improve efficiency and product knowledge.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred but not required. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform frequent Lifting. A strong attention to detail and commitment to Safety are essential. Basic reading and comprehension skills are necessary. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions accurately. This position requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace. Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations is a plus. Must be reliable and punctual.
