We are seeking a dedicated Distribution Center Associate for our growing facility in Durham, North Carolina. This role is integral to our logistics network, responsible for various tasks that ensure efficient warehouse operations and timely order fulfillment. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be involved in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. Your primary goal will be to maintain the smooth flow of products through the distribution center, upholding our standards of accuracy and speed. Safety is a top priority; all associates are expected to follow rigorous safety procedures and correctly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform consistent lifting and manual labor. You will work closely with a team to meet daily operational targets and contribute to the overall success of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming shipments, verifying contents and condition.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
- Stage and prepare orders for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with stock management.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the use of PPE.
- Identify and report any operational issues or safety hazards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Contribute to team goals and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring regular lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics concepts.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
