About
Our distribution center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is looking for a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our logistics team. This role is fundamental to ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and the timely dispatch of goods. You will be involved in various key warehouse functions.
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming shipments, verify contents, and stock inventory accurately.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders with precision and care.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory management.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring efficient use of space and proper handling.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, focusing on safety and logistics efficiency.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns immediately.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 70 pounds throughout the shift.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
- Must be willing to wear all required PPE, including safety footwear and high-visibility gear.
- Strong team player with good communication skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- A strong focus on maintaining a safe working environment for all.
