We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. This position is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, requiring efficiency and accuracy. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using a handheld scanner or pick list.
- Verify product accuracy against order specifications.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Package products securely and efficiently, ensuring they are ready for transport.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding safety and quality control.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and vests.
- Must be able to perform consistent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
- Commitment to workplace Safety protocols.
