About
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders, using a provided pick list or handheld scanner. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order requirements.
- Stage picked items for shipping and assist with loading/unloading trucks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and products are stored correctly.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet or exceed picking productivity and accuracy standards.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to a supervisor immediately.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
