About
: Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include:
Lead, coach, and manage the Group Sales team, including direct reports: Habiba Miller, Brianna Wetzel, Helena Moges, and Shamar Brooks. Maintain an individual booking goal and actively manage assigned key accounts with focus on group segment business. Drive group pace and overall team production to ensure achievement of quarterly and annual revenue goals. Conduct regular business reviews and performance coaching with team members. Identify, develop, and implement strategies to grow share from key vertical markets and target accounts. Collaborate with Revenue Management to guide RFP responses and optimize business opportunities. Attend and represent the hotel at industry trade shows, customer events, and client meetings. Develop and present high-level proposals, contracts, and brand presentations. Ensure strong relationships with clients and promote long-term partnerships that align with Sonesta's value proposition. Leverage research tools to support team and individual prospecting efforts. Track and report on team metrics, pace, and sales activity using Delphi and other sales systems. Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and collaboration within the sales team. Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration or related field preferred. Minimum five years of previous hotel sales experience strongly preferred. Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Director of Sales or two (2) years as Associate Director of Sales experience. Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English, other languages beneficial. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances. Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments. Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities. Experience with Microsoft Office, Opera and Delphi FDC preferred. Ability to travel including some overnight travel is required. Frequently standing up, bending, and moving about the facility. Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 25 pounds. Frequently handling objects and equipment.
