Job Description Summary

The Architectural Designer/AutoCAD Specialist collaborates with Sales Consultants and Clients to complete construction documentation including plans, elevations, sections, details, and specifications to tailored design solutions to our customers.  In addition, the Architectural Design/ AutoCAD Specialist is responsible for documenting, measuring and applying building knowledge to renovation design solutions for our customers. 

Job Description

  • Collaborate with Sales Consultants, Equipment Specialists, Design team members and manufacturing partners to complete construction documentation including plans, elevations, sections, details and specifications
  • Assess site suitability and produce test fit plans
  • Design architectural plans that align with client preferences and budgets
  • Prepare and present job proposals to clients, emphasizing their ability to deliver architectural designs that meet set requirements.
  • They ensure proper documentation and record of all vital information related to a structural design.
  • Prepare the design concepts and present the material to our clients
  • Ensures a safe work environment by understanding and following safety procedures and reporting injuries or unsafe acts
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
  • Provides a safe work environment through the delivery of training to employees, identifying and resolving unsafe situations and managing the reporting of injuries
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience working in a design role
  • Architectural Technology Diploma from an accredited institution with a focus on technical drawing production.
  • Expertise with AutoCAD and Revit Software
  • Thorough knowledge of provincial building codes
  • proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Your presentation skills make it easy for customers and team members to relate to you, yet you are not afraid to think outside the box and develop new ideas, concepts, and design for our customers.
  • You must own vehicle and hold a valid Canadian driver's license.
  • Periodic travel for training and client site visits may be required

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$65, $98,800.00 Annual
