Responsibilities:
- Work to be performed within the guidelines of the "Ontario Electrical Code", Government Regulations, Current Practices & Health & Safety Policies.
- Be involved in "Continuous improvement Projects".
- Self-motivated
- Able to work in a "team" environment.
- Perform repairs on equipment.
- Identify work order priorities for shutdowns.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Must have excellent communications skills.
- Report any machinery issues to management
- Work cooperatively with the production team to meet goals
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management
- Completion of work within budgetary guidelines.
- Control safety.
- Track machine availabilities and efficiencies.
- Tuning equipment and ensuring that adequate controls and safety measures are functional.
- Repairing and replacing parts as required by the company's preventative maintenance program
Qualifications:
- Licensed Industrial Millwright/Mechanic 433A
- Strong troubleshooting ability.
- Competent technical ability, both theory and applied.
- Good communication skills in English (verbal & written
- Able to work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to comply with all safety guidelines
- Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and reaching
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
