We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our warehouse operations in Houston, Texas. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the movement and organization of materials within our facility. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from designated areas, and ensuring materials are properly stored. This role is fundamental to the efficient functioning of our **logistics** department. You will work with various types of materials and equipment, requiring a good understanding of **safety** procedures and the correct use of **PPE**. Physical stamina is essential, as the job involves frequent **lifting** of heavy items, sometimes exceeding 50 pounds, as well as pushing, pulling, and standing for long durations. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks, dollies, or forklifts (if certified).
- Organize and store materials in designated locations.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all **safety** protocols and wear all required **PPE**.
- Support overall **logistics** operations by ensuring timely material flow.
- Perform **lifting** and moving of heavy materials, up to 50+ lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to operate basic material handling equipment.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform heavy **lifting**.
- Knowledge of warehouse **safety** procedures and the importance of **PPE**.
- Understanding of **logistics** and material flow within a warehouse.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
