About
We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our logistics team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. Your duties will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload trucks, transport goods, and stock inventory. You will ensure that all materials are handled according to company procedures and safety standards, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires experience with various types of material handling equipment and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. The ability to perform heavy Lifting, often exceeding 50 lbs, will be necessary. Maintaining an organized and safe work environment is critical. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and management to ensure the smooth flow of goods and timely order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stock inventory in appropriate locations, maintaining organization.
- Perform regular heavy Lifting, often requiring assistance or mechanical aids for loads over 50 lbs.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and management.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment to promote Safety.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to optimize material flow and logistics.
- Follow all shipping and receiving procedures accurately.
- Identify and report any unsafe conditions or practices.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the warehouse operations.
