About
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to all company standards. Your responsibilities will include managing staff, optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. This leadership role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of warehouse management and logistics . You will be instrumental in driving performance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strict adherence to safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE .
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse procedures and workflows.
- Ensure accurate inventory management through regular audits and system updates.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnel, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Monitor and enforce all safety regulations, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective operations.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and employee concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet production and customer service goals.
- Implement and maintain a strong focus on PPE usage and overall workplace safety .
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics .
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a team effectively and drive performance.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices, including PPE requirements.
- Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
- Physical ability to perform tasks as needed, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
