About
Seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk in Seattle, Washington! This position is crucial for managing the initial stage of our inventory process, ensuring all incoming goods are accurately documented and stored. You will be responsible for unloading shipments, inspecting goods for damage, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and entering received items into our system. This role is vital for maintaining accurate inventory and supporting our overall Logistics flow. Your dedication to accuracy and adherence to Safety protocols are paramount. We provide all necessary PPE and comprehensive training to ensure a secure and productive work environment. Occasional Lifting of items up to 40 lbs may be required. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments efficiently and safely.
- Inspect goods for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Stage received goods for put-away or processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all company policies and warehouse Safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a warehouse environment preferred.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices.
- Capability for occasional Lifting of packages and materials.
- Excellent communication skills.
