Job Overview:

As a Crew Member at Mary Brown's( 6140 Quinpool Rd, Halifax, NS B3L 1A3 ), you will be vital in providing excellent customer service and ensuring high-quality food is served in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering an outstanding experience to every guest.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and take accurate food orders.
• Prepare, cook, and package food following Mary Brown's standards.
• Ensure restaurant cleanliness, including dining areas, restrooms, and kitchen stations.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines to maintain quality and freshness.
• Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe workplace.
• Work as part of a team to provide fast and friendly service.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system, ensuring accuracy.
• Assist with receiving and stocking inventory.
• Maintain a positive attitude and uphold professionalism at all times.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, walk, and work in a busy environment for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 30-50 pounds occasionally.
• Exposure to hot and cold environments while working near cooking equipment.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced restaurant setting with customer interaction.
• Occasional exposure to moving kitchen equipment.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Ability to follow instructions and uphold food safety standards.
• Prior experience in quick-service restaurants is an asset but not required.

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Safe Food Handling certification and First Aid Certification (preferred ).
