Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced DOT Compliance Coordinator to oversee and ensure adherence to Department of Transportation regulations within our logistics and transportation operations. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining compliance standards, managing regulatory reporting, and supporting risk management initiatives across our fleet and supply chain activities. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe, compliant, and efficient transportation environment while supporting broader regulatory requirements such as OSHA, FDA regulations, and transportation management protocols.

Duties

  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs aligned with DOT regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records related to freight, fleet management, and transportation activities to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and submit required reports for regulatory agencies, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Conduct regular audits of logistics operations to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to OSHA, FDA regulations, and supply chain standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to develop risk management strategies that mitigate compliance violations.
  • Oversee driver logs, hours of service documentation, vehicle maintenance records, and other critical compliance data.
  • Manage regulatory updates and communicate changes in policies or procedures to relevant departments.
  • Assist in training staff on compliance protocols related to transportation management, freight handling, and safety standards.
  • Support fleet management by ensuring vehicles meet safety standards and comply with federal regulations.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on compliance status, incident investigations, and risk assessments for senior management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation compliance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, OSHA standards, FDA regulations related to transportation of regulated goods, and freight management practices.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting processes and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to analyze data and prepare clear documentation for regulatory agencies.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and fleet management software.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles within logistics operations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure ongoing compliance across multiple departments.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and implement effective compliance strategies.
  • Effective communication skills for training staff and coordinating across teams. This position is integral in maintaining the safety, legality, and efficiency of our transportation operations while ensuring full compliance with all applicable regulations.

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
