Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing team. The PTA will work under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, evidence-based interventions designed to maximize residents' mobility, function, and independence.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assist residents with exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities.
- Monitor and document residents' progress toward treatment goals.
- Communicate effectively with the therapy team, nursing staff, and families regarding patient status and care needs.
- Ensure documentation meets facility, state, and payer requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Support the overall rehabilitation goals of the SNF with professionalism and compassion.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
- Current State PTA License (or eligibility for licensure).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Compassionate approach to care with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
