SUMMARY

The Test Engineer position at Crestron plays a key role in the design and development of production test systems used in our electronics manufacturing facilities. This role is responsible for creating test plans, designing test equipment, selecting and procuring instrumentation, developing fixtures, supervising the assembly of test systems, implementing automation, writing procedures, and deployment/sustaining support. The ability to analyze digital electronic products and determine appropriate test strategies to verify hardware functionality is essential. Strong electrical engineering knowledge is critical.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning test strategies and specs
  • Test systems design
  • Test systems integration/debug
  • Test Systems Validation and Deployment
  • Test improvements, ECN's, Production Support, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Engineering.
  • 2 - 4 years' experience as an Engineer in a technical or engineering development role
  • Proven problem resolution and technical decision-making skill
  • Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Test Stand, basic understanding of LabView a plus
  • Proven skills in developing and debugging a high-level language such as C++, C#, Python, Java etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • The ability to work in a highly dynamic collaborative team environment and negotiate test requirements with design engineering
  • Use DFT principles to develop sound test strategies for production test at both board and system levels
  • Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Per applicable state requirements, the annual pay range for this position ($75,000 - $107,000) which consists of base salary (subject to performance), reflects the hiring range for candidates. Also note, an individual's offer may vary from this range as it may be impacted by additional factors, including but not limited to the candidate's hiring location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.
