Veterinary Receptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service for our veterinary clinic. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update client information as needed.
• Handle phone inquiries, providing information about services and addressing client concerns.
• Process payments and manage medical collections with accuracy.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians with basic animal care tasks, including animal handling and restraint.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
• Educate clients on pet care and available services.
• Support the team in managing inventory for medical supplies and pet grooming products.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic animal handling skills is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for animal care and welfare is essential.
• Willingness to learn new skills is essential.
