First City Dental, a trusted general dental practice in beautiful St. Augustine, FL, is looking for a kind, skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our long-standing team. We've been caring for generations of patients, and we're proud to create a welcoming environment that feels more like family than just another appointment.
Schedule
- Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Fridaysfrom 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
What You'll Do
- Deliver chairside assistance for general dentistry procedures with professionalism and care
- Keep the day flowing smoothly
- Greet patients with warmth and provide consistent support throughout their visit
- Assist in managing treatment flow with efficiency and attention to detail
- Support a fully digital practice environment with collaborative teamwork
Who You Are
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant with 1+ year of clinical experience
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to quality care
- A team player who brings positive energy and adapts well to changes
- Passionate about long-term patient relationships and intentional dentistry
- Familiar with digital charting (Dentrix or Denticon is a plus)
- Surgical assisting experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities
- Assist dentists chairside for a variety of general procedures
- Welcome and prepare patients, ensuring comfort throughout their visit
- Sterilize and organize instruments according to established protocols
- Maintain accurate, digital patient records and documentation
- Perform lab-related tasks as needed
- Provide post-treatment education and support to patients
- Keep operatories clean, organized, and well-stocked
