Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Mill Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating 3 to 5 axis machines and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce precision parts that meet strict quality standards. Duties
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including CNC lathes and machining centers, ensuring accurate production according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
- Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to ensure parts meet exact dimensions and quality standards.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance of CNC equipment.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other tools to verify dimensions and ensure quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment within the factory or warehouse environment.
- Conduct tooling changes, setup adjustments, and program modifications as needed for different jobs or production runs.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, fabrication projects, or packaging processes to ensure seamless workflow.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, machine logs, inspection reports, and quality control records.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols related to machining operations, welding procedures (if applicable), and factory safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar machining equipment within a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints with GD&T specifications accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of tooling, fabrication techniques, welding (preferred but not required), and materials handling equipment like forklifts.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc., for quality assurance purposes.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations related to machining tolerances, and process adjustments.
- Factory or manufacturing experience demonstrating familiarity with assembly lines, stamping presses, press brake machines, or flexo presses is advantageous.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail and quality standards. Pay: $ $30.01 per hour
