Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring each guest has a memorable dining experience. Experience with food and beverage service, along with strong communication skills, is essential. Knowledge of POS systems and food safety standards will be highly valued. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their meal and addressing any needs or concerns
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and cleaning workstations
• Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed in a hospitality or food industry setting
• Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure guest health and safety
• Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless guest services in fine dining or casual environments

Skills

• Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality roles; fine dining experience is a plus
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and guest services
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and restaurant sales
• Good time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for accurate billing, cashiering, and cash handling tasks
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
• Experience in serving, bussing tables, host/host duties, or nightclub service is advantageous
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
