Server/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, reliable and organized Server/Cashier to join Sultan's first wholesome, seed-free oil restaurant that puts an emphasis on quality homemade ingredients that are fresh and bold with some comfort vibes.

This role involves providing exceptional customer service, accurately processing transactions, and supporting daily restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality food and providing exceptional service to our customers. The ability to be a team player and multitask effectively is crucial.

Duties

• Take customer orders accurately using our Toast POS system.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling.
• Become intricately familiar with our menu, ingredients and philosophy which replaces frozen, canned, and highly processed foods with fresh, homemade, seed-free oil alternatives.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas including dining, food prep, and cashier stations.
• Assist with food safety practices, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Clear tables by bussing dishes promptly and efficiently to ensure a clean dining environment.
• Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation when needed, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and smooth restaurant operations.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service, quick service, or fast food restaurant environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast, Clover, Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Experience with cashiering, food handling, and basic math skills related to retail or food industry transactions is beneficial.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and kitchen procedures is a plus.
• Prior experience in retail math or grocery store operations can be helpful for cash handling responsibilities.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
