Access Control/security/CCTV Installer

Job Summary
The Access Control Specialist is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems, including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems. This role requires a strong understanding of computer networking, mechanical knowledge, and field service skills to ensure the effective operation of security solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and hands-on experience to deliver high-quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure access control systems, including hardware and software components.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on security systems such as CCTV, IDS, and alarm systems.
• Collaborate with clients to design customized security solutions tailored to their specific needs.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for installation and repairs of low voltage cabling and electrical components.
• Read and interpret schematics to ensure proper installation and functionality of security systems.
• Provide field service support by responding to service calls and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls for documentation purposes.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in security technology to provide informed recommendations to clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security system installation or as a service technician in related fields.
• Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and remote access software applications.
• Familiarity with mechanical systems, electrical work, cabling practices, and low voltage installations.
• Experience with fire alarm systems, telecommunication equipment, locksmithing, and construction practices is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
