Software Developer in Test - SDET - Quality Assurance - Provar for Salesforce test automation - SC Cleared Contract Length: 3 months rolling contract £450 - £550 daily rate INSIDE IR35 Mainly remote, once or twice a month on site. Must hold current SC Key Responsibilities Test Automation Development, Software Developer in Test, Quality Assurance Must hold active SC Clearance Remote role, home based opportunity, occasional travel to office in London. Design, build, and maintain Provar automation test scripts for Salesforce applications and integrations. Develop scalable and reusable testing frameworks using Provar best practices. Automate regression, functional, and end-to-end tests to improve testing efficiency. Test Planning & Execution Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios. Execute automated and manual tests where required to ensure high-quality releases. Perform debugging, root cause analysis, and defect reporting through tools like Jira or Azure DevOps. Quality Assurance & Collaboration Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Salesforce Admins to ensure alignment on requirements. Participate in sprint ceremonies, including refinement, planning, and retrospectives. Ensure test coverage, traceability, and compliance with QA standards. Continuous Improvement Analyse test results and provide insights for improving product quality. Optimise test automation pipelines for performance and reliability. Contribute to CI/CD integration using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab. Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with Provar for Salesforce test automation. Solid understanding of Salesforce ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning, etc.). Experience with testing tools such as Selenium (optional but beneficial). Familiarity with version control tools (Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Ability to write and maintain test data, test suites, and automation workflows. Quality & Process Skills Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. Ability to design comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and traceability matrices. Experience with defect tracking systems (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.). Soft Skills Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams. Attention to detail and a passion for quality. Preferred Qualifications Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder) are a plus. Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) is desirable. Understanding of enterprise-level integration testing. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Typically 3+ years of QA experience, including 1-2 years in Provar automation.
