This is a full-time job.
The job is remote but will require travelling to Chicago for 2-3 days a week.

SAP Program Manager
with 15+ years of experience to lead a large-scale SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation program. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex, global SAP implementation and migration projects, driving business value, and managing senior stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership & Strategy:
    Oversee the end-to-end delivery of the SAP S/4HANA implementation/conversion program, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and strategic goals.
  • Project Planning & Execution:
    Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and roadmaps. Manage the program within defined scope, time, quality, and cost constraints.
  • Migration Strategy & Execution:
    Design and execute the full migration strategy (including Brownfield, Greenfield, or Hybrid approaches) from SAP ECC to S/4HANA. Oversee data migration, cleansing, and validation processes, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Act as the primary point of contact for executive (C-suite) and senior stakeholders. Facilitate communication, manage expectations, and build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and external vendors.
  • Team and Resource Management:
    Lead, mentor, and coordinate diverse cross-functional teams, including functional consultants (FI, CO, MM, SD, etc.), technical teams (ABAP, Basis), and data migration specialists across potentially multi-geographic locations.
  • Risk and Issue Management:
    Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues, developing contingency plans and tracking resolutions to prevent delays.
  • Methodology & Governance:
    Ensure project governance and adherence to best practices and methodologies, such as SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance:
    Implement quality assurance measures, ensure all deliverables meet predefined standards, and manage compliance with industry-specific regulatory nuances (if applicable).
  • Change Management:
    Work closely with business managers and process owners to ensure organizational change readiness, defining requirements, facilitating user training, and tracking user adoption to minimize business disruption
  • Budget & Financial Management:
    Manage program budgets, track spending, and ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in SAP project/program management.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale SAP projects, including at least one end-to-end SAP ECC to S/4HANA conversion or implementation.
  • Experience in managing complex system integrations and external interfaces.
  • Experience with pre-sales activities, scoping assessments, and Statement of Work (SOW) generation is a plus.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Deep understanding of the SAP landscape, S/4HANA architecture, core modules, and migration strategies (Brownfield, Greenfield, Bluefield).
  • Deep understanding of SAP ECC and S/4HANA architecture, core modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, QM), and integration points
  • Familiarity with data migration tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit, and Software Update Manager (SUM/DMO).
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori and the broader SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is desirable.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional leadership, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and inspire teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or SAP Activate certification is highly preferred.
