Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic systems and equipment across various projects on automotive vehicles. Duties
- Install, calibrate, and test Wired-Harnesses; like Engine GEN IV Complete Harness and other cabling types such as Cat 6 and 5e.
- Familiar with electronic components; like ohm, resistance, and voltage according to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on pre-terminated and calibrated automotive systems used to inspect diagnostic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with wired-harnesses and electronic devices designed for automotive devices, circuits, and systems using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Repair or replace faulty pre-terminated wired-harnesses and device components to restore functionality efficiently.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications accurately.
- Collaborate with master electronic technical engineering teams to develop or improve electronic systems and processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations during all operations.
- Assist in the development of technical manuals and training materials for electronic systems.
Skills
- Strong understanding of wired-harnesses, electronic theory, circuit design, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency with testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, ohm meters, and etc.
- Experience with soldering, wiring (crimping), and re-assembling pre-terminate wired harnesses, and some electronic devices and/or components.
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and engineering drawings effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for documenting procedures and collaborating with team members.
- Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with automation systems, PLCs, or embedded systems programming. This position requires candidates to demonstrate technical competence in electronics along with a proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks. The role is vital in supporting the reliability and efficiency of our electronic systems across various operational environments.
