Senior Software Engineer

Salary Range: $180,000 - $210,000 USD

What You'll Do:

• Fullstack Development: Develop complex, end-to-end features, integrating both front-end (HTML, CSS, TypeScript/React) and back-end aspects to enhance user experience and system reliability.
• Quality & Collaboration: Uphold a high-quality standard by working closely with Product Management, Design, and Engineering stakeholders in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• Product Ownership: Step into a temporary product management role when necessary to ensure solutions meet high quality and effectiveness standards.
• Project Lifecycle: Engage in all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and design through deployment, including conducting thorough code reviews and performance optimization.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers, helping them advance their skills and careers.

• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, specifically in an Individual Contributor (IC) role, with demonstrated ability to work across the full stack or a strong backend-leaning background.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
• Experience with a modern back-end language (e.g., Ruby, Python, or Java).
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles.
• Product Mindset: You take pride in end-to-end ownership—from conceptualization to deployment—ensuring solutions are effective and user-centric.
• Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive and excel in a fast-paced, product-focused environment where priorities may shift rapidly.
• Nice to Have: Experience with specific technologies like Rails, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch is highly valued, along with a background in startup environments (founder or early employee experience).
