As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will keep engines purring, wheels turning, and customers happy. This is an opportunity to work at an established car dealership that will begin offering repair services to the general public.
Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Inspections and Diagnostics:
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
Diagnose problems using diagnostic tools and your keen intuition.
Routine Maintenance:
- Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication tasks.
Keep track of maintenance schedules and ensure timely service.
Electrical Systems Expertise:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, including wiring, sensors, and onboard computers.
Address issues related to lights, power windows, and audio systems.
Engine Repairs:
- Fix engine-related problems, such as misfires, overheating, or poor performance.
Replace faulty parts, including spark plugs, belts, and hoses.
Brake and Suspension Work:
- Inspect and repair brakes, calipers, rotors, and brake lines.
Maintain suspension components for a smooth ride.
Customer Communication:
- Explain repair options, costs, and timelines to customers.
Provide exceptional service and build trust with clients.
Safety Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols when handling tools, chemicals, and heavy equipment.
- Ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven track record as an Auto Mechanic.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive systems, both mechanical and electronic.
- Certification: ASE certification is a bonus but not a requirement.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy parts and work in various positions.
- Communication Skills: Clear communication with customers and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset to diagnose complex issues.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training a plus.
- Self-Motivated: Must have a desire to get the job done quickly and accurately.
