About

The City of Conway is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Utilities Compliance Coordinator. This position is responsible for ensuring that the Public Utilities Department remains in full compliance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations. This position will attend and complete regulatory training programs and take the lead in implementing compliance-related programs, policies and procedures across the department. The coordinator will actively monitor regulatory changes, conduct internal audits and support corrective actions to maintain operational integrity. In addition, this position will oversee employee training programs related to compliance, safety and regulatory standards. The coordinator ensures that all personnel are properly trained and remain current on mandatory certifications and procedures. This positions plays a key role in promoting a culture of compliance, safety and continuous improvement throughout the Water department. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Deputy Director and Director of Public Utilities.

Minimum Experience and Training: Associates degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration or related field preferred with one (1) to two (2) years of experience in office operations; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Must possess a drivers license valid in the State of South Carolina.

Special Requirements: Must possess or have the ability to obtain Level B Water Distribution License Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Backflow Certification Must possess or have the ability to obtain Asbestos Certification

Entry level pay for this position is $44,833 annual ($21.55 per hour).
