Bartender

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage service. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with guests, and ensuring a memorable experience in a lively environment. Prior experience in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly valued. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workspace while delivering exceptional service to our patrons.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS or Focus POS
• Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere, providing excellent customer service
• Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently, demonstrating strong time management skills
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
• Ensure compliance with food safety and food handling standards at all times
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment
• Restock supplies as needed and assist with setup for special events such as catering or banquets
• Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and adherence to safety regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operation during busy hours

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS or Focus POS
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly manner
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and managing tabs accurately
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments within the food industry and hospitality sectors
• Experience with serving alcohol responsibly in accordance with legal regulations
• Familiarity with brewing processes or beverage preparation is a plus
