Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of our facilities and manufacturing processes. This role is vital in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our equipment, infrastructure, and systems. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on a wide range of machinery and building systems. Your expertise will help us uphold the highest standards of safety and operational excellence while fostering a proactive maintenance culture that drives continuous improvement.

Duties

  • Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose and troubleshoot automation equipment and control systems effectively.
  • Conduct welding repairs on machinery or structural components as needed to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Maintain electrical systems by replacing components, wiring, and ensuring compliance with safety standards using tools such as ohmmeters.
  • Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions across facilities maintenance tasks.
  • Manage work orders efficiently using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities and schedules.
  • Lead or supervise maintenance projects, including coordinating team efforts for repairs or upgrades in manufacturing or residential settings.
  • Support facilities maintenance activities such as plumbing, HVAC, painting (including residential painting), and general building upkeep to ensure a safe environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or maintenance support.
  • Supervise or mentor junior technicians, fostering a team-oriented approach to maintenance tasks while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential environments with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
  • Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is essential.
  • Skilled in welding techniques with the ability to perform repairs on various materials and structures.
  • Knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS software for effective maintenance management.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and practices; ability to work safely with electrical components.
  • Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation, reporting, and collaboration with team members.
  • Supervising or leadership experience is preferred to guide team efforts during complex projects or emergencies.
  • Ability to perform residential painting tasks when required for facility upgrades or aesthetic improvements.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on preventative maintenance strategies. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
