We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer-Production Supervisor to lead and elevate our assembly operations for next-generation aerial systems — including motors, antennas, and full drone assemblies.
In this role, you'll combine your technical expertise in motor assembly and process optimization with strong leadership to deliver excellence in quality, safety, and performance. You'll guide a dedicated production team, collaborate across departments, and play a key role in shaping the future of flight technology.
The Mechanical Engineer-Production Supervisor oversees the daily assembly applications such as motors, antennas and general part assembly, ensuring efficient production, quality standards, and safety compliance. This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and hands-on experience in precision motor assembly, testing, and process optimization. The supervisor leads a production team, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures that production goals align with quality and delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and coordinate daily production activities for drone assembly applications including motor manufacturing lines (assembly, winding, balancing, and testing), assembly of Antennas, drone frames and complete drone units.
· Ensure all production operations meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
· Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand.
· Troubleshoot production process and mechanical issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
· Oversee setup, calibration, and preventive maintenance of machinery and tools.
· Develop process parameters for each process to ensure a consistent quality product, knowledge of spec process would be useful.
· Collaborate with engineering, supply chain and Sales teams to implement process improvements and new product introductions.
· Work with purchasing on material purchasing, timing, quantities and inventory control.
· Train, coach, and evaluate production team members for technical proficiency and safety compliance.
· Maintain accurate production records, work orders, and performance metrics.
· Support continuous improvement programs such as Lean Manufacturing.
· Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality system requirements).
Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.
· 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production supervisory role, preferably in motor manufacturing, drone components, or precision electromechanical assembly.
· Strong understanding of motor design principles, mechanical tolerances, and electrical assembly integration.
· Proven experience in production planning, team leadership, and process improvement.
· Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
· Experience with testing and quality control procedures for small electric motors preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, tools, and materials used in electromechanical assembly.
· May require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
· Standard work hours with occasional overtime or weekend work as needed.
