Duties

• Safely operate a cargo van on assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, heavy lifting, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed
• Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and ensure accurate documentation of deliveries
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with recipients and addressing any delivery concerns
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain safety standards
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, route progress, and any incidents during the shift
• Assist in warehouse activities such as moving inventory, organizing stock, or preparing shipments for delivery when required

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with box trucks or cargo vans
• Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with moving packages or equipment
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification preferred)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmissions is a plus
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and warehouse operations
